Back in late May, me and Prakash went down to KL for a little photography session with our dslrs. We headed down on a Sunday afternoon, me with my Canon 400D and him with his 350D. Dataran Merdeka became our starting point.
I decided to wash out the colors and enhance only certain ones to get the look. I think this would capture my feelings walking down those streets that day.
So I present to you - Down Petaling Street
roadside stall offering very cheap lunch, saw a lot of foreigners tho'
a little bit of culture
mango seller (left) and bak kut teh (right)
... and finally my coup de grĂ¢ce
This is from Prakash's point of view + all his shots here.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteNice pics.
Loads of memories for me here cos I started out from day "2" in these few blocks. My nanny was two doors away from Mona Hair Saloon.
Haven't been back for a number of years. Missed the porridge and "yau-char-kway"
Steven
Really? Wow... So you're really a KL kid unlike us suburban brats. Lets go get the porridge one of these days. Do I hear a glo outing? Hahaha..
ReplyDeleteYeah, authentic chinese food but the last i heard the porridge man has passed on. The char-kuay-tiew man as well. sob-sob.
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine it was 30+ odd years have pass. Seems like yesterday when i look at your pictures (the effects on those pics are exactly like the ones in my memory).
I feel old..................
