Me, Kenneth, Stephan, Ganesh, Nick and of course our, the ever illuminating, Prem Anand.
By the way, having a real (read: really really really real) director as your lecturer is a very good thing.
Which one's your favorite?
p.s. this is a sketch I did on the class's white board while he was eating a bag of chips. Great times.
p.s.2 for a very nice sketch of someone else in my class, please click here. I promise you it is worth it.

the seventh tree will sprout 26th february
Goldfrapp's latest is a week away from release and I just pre-ordered the album from iTunes!
I really like the clown inspired artwork. It adds a nice dimension to the imaginary of what the album would be like.
She makes a very lovely clowntress don't you think?
*admiration sigh*
Beautiful voice, beautiful face... kinda make me wish I was in my thirties and British as well. I leave you with the first single from Seventh Tree, A&E.

Digi bringing in the iPhone, not Maxis or Celcom
Everyone in Malaysia is speculating which telco will get the coveted right to sell Apple's iPhone here. What I've heard is that Apple is in talks with Maxis or Celcom already. No better time than now to throw in my own predictions. So with a little sleuthing (read: random luck), I came upon this juicy little info you're seeing right here.
What you're seeing is a page taken from Digi's online customer service page. This is where you enter in your mobile phone model and you can get Digi's WAP and MMS settings sent straight to your phone.
So you can imagine my surprise when I saw that Apple was among one of the 'phone manufacturers'. I selected them and got this under 'phone model' - iPhoneA1203!
The 'ok' button doesn't work and you can't actually get any settings for it. But the iPhone is actually in there!
This is not inside information and I'm definitely not saying that this is the gospel truth, but come on, it's something! Only time will tell whether this was a big giveaway and I could make money in the mac rumors scene or this was just the work of an overexcited employee...
p.s. first month using Digi's One plan on my iPhone and racked up this bill. It was suppose to save me money, not empty my man purse of it... Lesson? Do not use EDGE with your iPhone if you don't have an unlimited plan.

colors in black and white
In conjunction with Chinese New Year, I present to you a set on a very famous temple here in KL - The Tian Hou Temple.
The temple itself is a spectacle, with bright colors layered on top of one another, all screaming for attention, and yet, all harmoniously put together.
I loved the colors, but most pictures of the temple so far have been focused exactly on that. This is my effort to present Tian Hou Temple to you, in all of its grandeur and beauty.

Happy Chinese New Year! I don't believe in rats, and I don't believe in not sweeping the floor, but I do believe in ang pows =) These are the precious years where everyone around you is getting married, but you haven't - so mountain dew - I will enjoy it.
But in keeping with the true spirit of the Spring Festival, I wish all of you, my dear friends and readers, a prosperous new year. May it be in health, finance, women (and men), education and women, have a good year ahead. Stay positive, stay strong.

graduation day, but not for me
with Victoria
with Bobby
Alpheus!
with Winz
My KDU mates graduated a few Saturdays ago in style at Hotel Nikko, KL. It was a grand affair with all of Northumbria's students from around Malaysia attending. I figured that since this was what I would have had this year if I didn't move to UCSI, I had to be there. I had to have the closure.
Really regret couldn't take pictures with the rest (Dikota, Aadrian). After spending 3 years together, it seems like it was only a while. Will definitely miss the days where all of us would go for lunch, bowl at 1U, catch movies, hang out at home... Those were good times.
To all, congratulations on breaking free from the cocoon of education and blooming into who you are today. I wish the best for your future and remember, my number is still the same.

presenting, the oral stage in thirty minutes
On 27th January, I had the privilege to see Prakash and the The Oral Stage present at the KLPac Open Day. The group had to pose according to scenes that were written by the public. Each scene would last for a few minutes and the public was allowed to take photos with them. Think of it as "Scenes from a hat" from Whose Line? but with a twist.
If you want to see what kind of funny poses they came up with, not to mention some sexy ones from Prakash, click on the picture above for the full set on Flickr.
