Moments before dinner with my family. It has kind of become a weekly thing where she and I go for dinner with my parents and lil' sister. Maybe steamboat? She has taken her once-in-four-months hair cut. Bowling was kind of nice just now, accept that my whole lane didn't even bother to play properly -_-"

If your iPhoto seems to be malfunctioning - thumbnails missing, sluggish performance when scrolling etc etc, try this little tip out courtesy of Apple's Support.
Hold down command + option when clicking on the iPhoto application. This will bring up a menu where you can rebuild the icons, database or just the whole library.
If you've been manually deleting files in your iPhoto folder to get it to rebuild the library, then this tip is going to be schweet~

I have a soft spot for a good love story. I don't know why, under all the artsy fartsyness of me, myself, I am able to be sympathize with the characters, especially when it doesn't work out and the ending is a massive letdown. I'm a sucker for depressing situations I guess. I think I have a problem with feeling happy, rather, being happy. I struggle with this on a daily basis. You know, being happy just because...
A certain Malaysian film made me think about what I really love recently. Do I really love to love and to be able to love forever? or do I love to love and have that same love not work out eventually? You see, you can't be heart broken, if you don't put it on the line in the first place.
This reminds me of something someone said about me - why is he so complicated?

How do you know when you've become irrelevant?
Is is when people don't seem to want to be with you anymore? Is it when all the chatter is directed all around you but never to you? Is it when you start to think that you can never have a real relationship with someone? A kind of comfort next to you, knowing that you can pour out your soul, and it would be caught?
We spend our life finding for a place to belong - the fortunate find permanence, the rest of us are considered lucky if we could even get a glimpse of where to go

I think this is a perfect picture to help me introduce to you my fellow UCSI inmate, Petrina! Enjoying our cuppa at ye'Old Town Kopitiam outside UCSI, I decided to do some photoboothing with ms patooties and the kash. Notice her huge tongue and big front teets. Not forgetting her tiny eyes, nothing compared to mine! Love the nose job Prakash.
If you're wondering to yourself there, is life that great at UCSI?
YES! if you're comparing to my past life in KDU...

So this is the assignment that I finished early. Its about the Gestalt Principles - Similarity, Proximity, Closure and Continuation. I decided to whip out the camera and finish up my assignment with it. I came up with 4 final pictures that fit those principles nicely. Lecturer was happy (read: impressed) and I could move on to other work early. Works both ways.
All in all this assignment has a value of more than $4,000 counting the iPods and Walkman. Fruits cost me $5. Toothpicks and stapler, both $0. Below each picture I've include all the bulls**t rationale (that we have to provide with our work) for any interested soul, itching to see the innards of a Visual Communication project.
Proximity
"Move Over Grandpa"
I wanted to depict how mp3 players have taken over portable cassette players and what better way than to put a couple of iPods and line them up facing away from a Walkman? This principle is shown by the iPods standing together as well as the distance between them and the Walkman.
Similarity
“A building made of sticks”
My intention was to bring your eyes to see a big picture that was formed by small, seemingly insignificant objects, in this case, it would be the toothpicks forming a fragile building. There are no other elements for the viewer, just the toothpicks and how in all its mundane repetition, a bigger, more significant picture can be seen.
Closure
“Froots”
Closure is all about leaving something to the imagination, it is all about having an image so incomplete that it seemingly doesn’t make any sense until you realize that it does resembles something, and then it all makes sense. I chose fruits because I wanted something natural, something that would offset the other pictures in terms of the feelings that it gives. There’s something about fruits and I think it is a good choice to represent this principle. It is something that everyone would know and be able to relate to. And that is what this principle is all about, being able to see the picture through the eyes of familiarity and experience.
Continuation
“Damn Staples”
Follow the staples and you’ll see that it comes from a stapler. Lame? But point proven! It is a simple illustration of following something till it reaches the point of origin. It could’ve been applied to many situations, bread crumbs leading to the slice of bread, cookie crumbs leading to the cookie, biscuit crumbs leading to biscuits, but I decided staples would just be easier to clean up.
